This is so off-topic, but I'm eating a cookie I baked last night and it is probably the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever baked so am sharing! I'm sure the reason won't be a surprise to any of you gourmet cooks and expert bakers (Rachy!), but I am tickled.

My older son often provides real-time cooking tips when we talk as I'm making dinner. I got to the cookie baking while we were on the phone, using the recipe on the bag of Nestle tollhouse chips as usual, but I didn't have walnuts, so Danny suggested I brown half of the butter instead to add flavor. I ("carefully, Mom!") browned one stick of the butter, and added it to the already creamed together sugar, vanilla, almond extract and other stick of room temperature butter, then I added the eggs.

He also suggested I make the cookies bigger, using 2 rounded teaspoons of dough, baked for 13 min.

Honestly, these are the best ever.
