I am a blue, grey, soft black girlie but always love browns. I recently purchased a cheap faux brown leather bag that I love but am a bit puzzled as to how to incorporate it into my closet. Given Angie's recent posts on browns would love to see how other's wardrobes are playing with their browns.?

I’m Team Grey. Brown bags work well with grey! Also blue and black. I’m not matchy matchy, I don’t mind mixing it up.

What about a belt to match the bag. Or in the cold a scarf or gloves or a hat to match it. Not all three though. Remember you not wearing your bag all the time so if it matches other accessories you remove when you are inside perfect.

I wear brown bag/boots/shoes etc with cream outerwear, and usually blue denim. I've just ordered some faded/washed brown jeans and am curious to see how they work with my other pieces. I kind of wish I was that person who wore cream/ivory denim in fall/winter but I just don't.

Brown and blue is always a great combination in my book and is my first go to, but I like grey and brown also.

Blues, black, and greys are fab with browns!

Indigoprint, try building a complement with the new brown item so that it has buddies and isn't lonely. Like shoes, belt, bottoms, bag, scarf, or patterned top. That way your outfits can look more pulled together.

What are the light neutrals of your wardrobe?

Personally, I wear browns with blues (denim, turquoise, light blue, and denim), creams, and sour brights. Toffee and whiskey are my main browns).

I love browns with just about anything. Love pairing browns with charcoal, camel, orchid, wines, reds, blues, oranges, and plums. The only ecolor I'm not as crazy about pairing brown with is green, especially olive greens.It tends to feel like military camo or like a tree to me. But even then I can be swayed if the shades of each are just so.

I am going to try pairing a mid-tone brown boot with a new pair of brighter navy pants. We will see if it floats my boat.

That said, Angie's idea to get a brown buddy or two for the purse is solid. You can find all sorts of fun buddies right now too, brown is in such abundance.

Thank you for your input. I think I got stuck because my recent favorite footwear for Fall/Winter is black.
I started playing around and found that if I tie a leopard print scarf around the strap, I feel it pulls the black/brown together enough.
I also pulled out my best ever, oldest scarf that goes with everything in my closet and I still get compliments and I think it plays well with the bag. So hopefully it will work as a catalyst to help me incorporate further
I also reached for these booties, which I still like and they fit, but did not reach for then much last year, I think the elastic insert will work for me to tie things together. The pictures are in opposite order of my comments.
Also it is not my only bag....just a new one to play with.

Thanks Lisa and Ket. It's from Target. It is just roomy bag, no pockets, but unknown to me until just now there are "handbag organizers" available with pockets and zipper compartments etc. Made to make it easier to switch out bags. So I have one on the way.
