The little mini catalog arrived last week and has been taunting me for the last few days. I want everything in it for my summer on the go looks but I am trying to be good and save for things I really need. fell hard for the sea green nail polish. I always do. I always try them but I don't really find them flattering for my hands. Perhaps I will try them on my toes.

How about you? Do you find blues and greens flattering for fingernail polish?

My fingernails are rarely in good enough shape to wear a bold color, and for me I would not consider anything that bod for work. But anything goes on my toes. I like the green color you've got on, very pretty. I've been using a navy on my toes a lot to go with all my preppy wear - it's Essie Bobbing for Baubles.

Love the color! But like you Rita I find these colors not so flattering on my finger nails but totally fab on my toe nails. I wear a pastel blue on my toe nails but haven't tried green yet.

I never polish my fingernails. I have tried silvery blue on my toes and liked it, but I've never tried green.

I love blue and green nail polish. Matches all my clothes. =) I never polish my fingernails but always do my toes. Right now they are emerald green with gold sparkles.

I never wear nail polish - I clip my fingernails super short for all the gardening I do. But I love bright colours for my toes and last year wore primarily a metallic cobalt blue! I love this green colour and would wear this on my toes in a second!

Oh, this is a great color. I'm a fan of brights for both my fingers and toes but at the moment I'm polish free on both.

I love it! I am a huge fan of non-traditional nail polish colours for hands and feet. On my hands I usually stick to cool shades to match my skintone but my toes are a free-for all.

I have been wearing Essie's Turquoise and Caicos with a silver sparkle topcoat for about six months. Before that, I was wearing a deeper shade of blue. The blue/green polish works well for me; I'm not a fan of red/pinks on my nails. I am kind of late to the professional manicures, but find that my hands look so much better if I take care of them in this manner. I do not do gel/shellac manicures. I am lucky to have strong nails and keeping my nails polished encourages me to take better care of my hands (as in wearing gloves to do the dishes, not using my nails to pick at things, etc.). I know it's selfish and self-indulgent to do manicures and many of my friends mock me for this. But it's my little cheap thrill and about the only self-loving thing I do on a regular basis. Another client in the salon recently was talking about how she was "too old" for non-trad polish. She was 10 years younger than I (I am 57). I told her I thought it was more a state of mind than actual age. And it's also not a huge commitment. if you don't like it, take it off. It's not like shaving your head or getting a tattoo.

Another "no nails" girl as they are super short so nail strengthener clear is all they get. I am liking more blues for toes - was wearing Essie Go Overboard (turquoise) for most of last month. Just bought SpaRitual polish in Twisted Vine which is a dark green.

I like the bright green especially if someone wore a lot of coordinating brights.

I always get attracted to mint polish, but it looks horrible on me. I have an emerald color similar to yours and I love it, but I only polish my toes.

Working in I.T. I keep my nails really short. I like toe nail polish but am a total klutz at applying it so it always looks pretty amateurish. I love the green though!

I really like the green. I prefer blues and greens anyway, though I love wearing a screaming orange--OPI's Atomic Orange is a current favorite--on my toenails.

Rita, I like this mint color on your fingers. It's pretty and perfect for summer. I've been playing around with a Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lively Lilac, which is a screaming lavender color. I also have a turquoise (love & beauty) and a charcoal grey called Gone Grey from SH. I also bought OPI's NYC Ballet Petites, because they looked really subtle. But, they're almost too subtle.

I love SEEING saturated greens and blues for nail polish... on other people. I can't wear nail polish successfully - I'm too clumsy and rough with my hands during the day, apparently, to avoid major chips within 24 hours, and then when it chips I unconsciously pick at it and shred my nail. So I'll enjoy the new color trend vicariously through you!

I'm not very good at my fingernails or applying polish to them, but I *am* due for another pedicure soon, and you've got me all inspired to try green instead of my usual classic (boring) red/pink-ish colour on my toenails.

This is a great polish color Rita! I am a sucker for blue-through-green colored polishes, but have realized that I don't really like to wear them as much as oranges and reds. I don't find them intrinsically unflattering though (esp. since those are my favorite colors to wear in clothing!), those shades are fabulous and can be flattering as long as you find shades that match your skin tone. I'm an equal opportunity polish wearer, though. My collection is erhm, rather large 0:)
