Curious to hear if anyone has any experience with this company. Inge linked to it in my post asking about vests, and they have some cute styles (http://www.charlotterusse.com/.....8;view=all). It seems pretty cheap, so I'm wondering what the quality is like. Unfortunately, no store in Seattle, but I'm tempted to order online. Any feedback on this store? Thanks tons!

All I know is that it's a juniors store, same style like Wet Seal and Forever21.

Tanya, I'm not really familiar with juniors and haven't bought clothes at Forever 21 before (just accessories). Does juniors mean they run small and I should order a size up? I'd usually get M, do you think I should order L instead? Thanks!

Yes, it does tend to run one size smaller. Also, the quality tends to be pretty bad.
I have had a couple of things from F21 and they have fallen apart after just couple of washes

Tanya is correct. Very similar to Forever 21. The clothes are poor quality.

I personally would not go for CR unless it's really a throwaway item, because that's exactly what you'll end up doing. Teenagers don't need clothes that last. They need clothes that suit their constantly changing tastes and bodies, and their meager budgets. If you're going to order, I don't know if I'd size up or not. It's hard to say. I wear an XS-S in misses, and a S-M in juniors, so I guess I'd err on the side of bigger. Maybe check their size chart?

Too late. Late last night I decided to try it out, and ordered the blue houndstooth vest, it just looked so cute. I figured at $19.99 with free shipping it's a relatively modest risk I'm taking. But I'm glad you guys warned me, so my expectations are low now. I'll report back...

Thanks Patience! Mai - I did get the Charlotte Russe vest, and just as several of you indicated, it's not exactly very nice quality. It's fun look, though. I have not decided whether to keep it; I hired Angie for a couple hours this afternoon to help me sort through some fall outfits and we'll decide together whether it's a cheapo item worth keeping for fun layering, or whether I should return it.
So all in all, I'm definitely still very interested in non-wool vests in interesting patterns.

Well, that's a darn shame.

I just realized - Urban Outfitters tends to carry a lot of vests (which *never* fit me because they're all cut for people with larger busts than mine - is 32 B really that small?). They don't come in the same numbers and pattern variety as Charlotte Russe, but perhaps you might find something you like? They seem decently sturdy and are around $50.

Forever 21 is total trash! Even though it was only 19.00, I wasted money there on a cardigan I saw online on someone's blog this summer. But I wish I had bought this leather vest at Target when I saw it in the store: http://www.target.com/Richard-.....038;page=1

I thought the quality was very good. At the moment I wasn't willing to pay 80 dollars, and now they are out of x small but have the other sizes. The back was particularly flattering. There are reviews for how it runs to help you pick a size too. It might fit with your style Antje. Target has a very good return policy and let's you return things to the store as well.

Antje, Can you war 15% angora if its mixed with cotton?

Espritshop has a cute mini-argyle print vest. It's unique in that the argyle design is small, and covers the whole vest, not just a panel in the front.
