Now I feel compelled to look at my nail polish collection and see if I can DIY out of the colors I have. I tend to stick to a couple of color families, but I don’t think I have enough to do all five colors in a true ombré.

I'm doing my nails ombre for the wedding- I love that look!

My highest maintenance routine is my haircuts. After 6 weeks my short, fast growing hair makes me unhappy. Lockdown has made me adapt that schedule but I jumped back as soon as I could. I do have a specific skin care routine but it is done at home and lockdown didn't affect that. I prefer professional pedicures but have had precisely one since the beginning of Covid - would prefer more often and will try to do so when possible. So all in all - no big changes in preferences that I can think of right now.

So ombré nails aren’t actually ombré, just different colors for each nail? I did that the one day I used nail polish earlier this year.

Hm.. If c19 wasn't a thing, right about now would be the time in my life I would start booking massages, spa appointments, manicures... One can dream...

I have cut my own hair since forever, that hasn't changed. I do miss going to the public sauna (ladies). I had a really great routine going on with 20+ minutes in the blazing heat and then ice shower and repeat. Maybe it's time to erect our own garden sauna!

As far as grooming goes, I have typically been LM except for previous every three week haircuts to maintain my haircut/color. Now I go every 10-12 weeks. I do not get mani/pedi’s, facials, do anything with my brows other than tweeze strays myself and fill with some brow powder. I do not wax, sugar, or get massages. (Although I did have laser hair removal in the past). I have eczema and rosacea so I use dermatologist recommended products and mineral makeup. I recently changed the products I use in my hair. Nothing I have done adds time to my grooming routine.

Staysfit, interesting that you’re only one of a couple people who mentioned daily routines. Until this thread, that’s mostly how I’ve thought of “high maintenance”—as the amount of time & attention paid to looks on an ongoing basis, not occasional routines (though I realize the dividing line is blurry—weekly treatments, for example).

I'm fairly low maintenance, I'd say, and the pandemic has reduced the stuff I've had done.

Daily routines are literally 5 minutes, post-shower. Moisturize, possible product in hair, 3 minutes to apply cover cream, blush, eyebrow pencil, mascara and sometimes liner.

Haircuts are my biggest expense. I aim to go every 5 or 6 weeks, but during the pandemic have gone up to 4 months without a cut and even now, I had to wait 10 weeks between cuts due to stylist's busy schedule.

Used to get 3 to 6 pedicures per year, but have not had one in years now. I could use StyleFan's foot nurse, TBH, due to my banged up nails & callouses.

Rarely rarely ever got a facial or mani. That hasn't changed....

@echo—laser hair removal ftw. Face and pelvis. Done and done.

Right now I’m low maintenance. I went from a haircut every 5 weeks to 15 months without. My hairdresser moved and my favorite day spa closed. I’ve gone to a salon next to our closest grocery store twice. No hair washing and is adequate for now. Had a pedicure at nail salon next door and it was miserable. There is another place close by that I’ve been to before and I’ll go there for now. I didn’t like it because it was too big and noisy. I don’t think it will be so noisy now.

I’m not as limber as I used to be and find it difficult to do my own pedicure. I can do the basic and since I’m not going anywhere until late December, it doesn’t matter so much.

My eyebrows don’t need much attention although now some of them grow so long I trim them with hair scissors.

So I’m definitely low maintenance for now, but!

I’m in much better physical condition! Muscles better toned, balance greatly improved, knees rarely bother me now, and if they do, a hill walk usually fixes that. Trying to do PT exercises every day. I am eating too much right now,. Stressful times. So I can say I’m high maintenance physically.
