...about jumpsuits. When Angie brought up jumpsuits in the blog http://youlookfab.com/2010/05/.....still-nay/ I was the first to say HECK NO! Then I got the chance to travel a bit and when I was in Hawaii I saw so many jumpsuits that looked AMAZING. I saw mostly strapless, shorts jumpsuits but a couple of casual pants and one formal black jumpsuit. I was so surprised at how cute the women wearing them looked. My favorites were the floral patterned shorts. Granted, most of the wearers were skinnier than I am but I really wanted to go out and get me a jumpsuit!

I can't believe that I like jumpsuits and will probably say they have a very specific place in the world but if I found the right one for the right occasion I'd wear it. Anyone else have those "Ah Ha" moments?

A word of warning when wearing jumpsuits don't leave it till the last minute to go to the loo! I love the look of jumpsuits but not sure I could be bothered with the fuss when going to the loo x

I'm still ambivalent about jumpsuits. But good for you for getting excited about something new! I had that experience with cascading cardigans.

Angie's blog today reminded me of my jumpsuit wearing (college) days. When in the loo, you are completely exposed/undressed AND desperately trying to not let those long sleeves or whatever touch yucky loo floors. . . eeeww!!

Maybe short legged, sleeveless jumpers . . . .

What MNsara said. Having worn these in the 70's, keeping the top part, and especially sleeves off the floor and even out of the loo is a problem. It's not advisable to jumpsuit and drink! They are cute and can be slenderizing, but there's a price to pay.

i love jumpsuits...on someone else. i keep thinking i'll find something that flatters me. instead i look like i'm in my mom's closet playing dress-up. the waist winds up at my crotch with the legs puddling on the floor.

if you can wear them, more power to you!

Um, I kind of like jumpsuits, but so far have kept myself away. I think it may be a genetic pre-disposition. i have always liked clothing that comes in a single piece for as long as I can remember.

Sara you have brought back memories, I had a catsuit in the nineties which I wore with a tunic length sheer blouse and not only would you have to try and stop the catsuit from falling on the floor but in public loos you would also try to keep one foot on the door because the lock was invariably broken.

I have to say I do have a soft spot for short playsuits worn as a cover up at the beach. (You may have to click on UK to see the link)

I did love the one that Gretchen Jones made on Project Runway last week (even though I was torn with whether Valerie who made the red dress should have won!). It was gorgeous. Here's a link:

Unfortunately the still photo doesn't do it justice. When the model came out, I gasped with how great it looked on her. It moved beautifully and had some nice details around the waist. Hence the win, I guess.

I went to a gallery opening a couple of weeks ago and a very elegant woman in her early 50s was wearing a black jumpsuit and she looked amazing - a fabulous alternative to a dress or trousers and shirt. She had very cool glasses, a Taylor-esque hair do and I was really wowed!

Judy, that sumpsuit is really nice. It didn't really look like a child's outfit either. It looked grown-up and sophisticated.
