The good thing about shorter hair, as I have discovered this week, is that it air-dries faster. I mean duh, right? But I have been struggling with trying to get nice-looking "second day hair" for a while, trying various long hair tricks like only washing my scalp and spritzing dry hair in an effort to avoid wandering around with a wet head half the day. I really prefer air-drying my hair and encouraging it to be curly.
Anyway, in the last few days since I had it chopped I have found it much easier to just wash my whole head every day. I get better curls this way and with the new shorter length it doesn't take so long to dry.
Have you tried any of the "curly girl" methods? You might find that you can encourage your hair to be a bit curlier and less shaggy-looking.
