It used to be that if an item's price changed within 30 days or so, you could get a price adjustment from Nordstrom's. When a piece I bought back in mid-June went on sale for a sizeable discount, I requested a price adjustment. Here is what they told me:
Dear Mrs. ,
I am terribly sorry, we are unable to honor price adjustments on orders that
are over two weeks old.

I am not dumb. I could circumvent the policy by reordering the item and then returning it against the old order. Yeah, it's a bit more hassle, but with free shipping, and free returns, it is rather silly of them to have us both go through the process, a process that costs me time and costs them time and money.
