Chanel type jacket part 2: with striped tanks

So I went shopping today and tried the jacket on with some striped tanks, and also tried my MIL's vintage pendant with it. What do you think?
1. Navy and white stripe
2. Lime green and white stripe

Is this better, and not so stodgy?

Hmm...I think I like the first tank better. I just wore this combination today!

The lime and white stripe tank looks very spring/summer to me, and the jacket is dark tweed, which looks wintery, so I think that's where the disconnect is coming from for me.

I just looked at yours, Ana, you looked adorable!

The jacket really isn't wintery, - it's a a lightweight cotton, so I was thinking I could wear it in the spring and even summer, maybe with white jeans if that wouldn't look too top-heavy color-wise.

Wow, from the photos I thought it was a wool blend. Hmm...I'm not sure then. Maybe I just like it with richer, bolder colors. I think it would look good with red stripes, too. Maybe I just like classic color combinations. : )

I actually like both..one conservative and one spring and fun. Because you may not want to were the yellow next fall and then you have the dark one for then. If you can afford it. Great fit and combination. I think you did well, and will try this myself..mine is black and a touch sparkly but maybe red stripes will make it more casual?

Parsley, I really like both! The black and white is perfect and the lime is totally unexpected. Do you feel good in these two combinations? They look great. Your MIL's pendant adds just the right thing by way of an accessory. Stunning.

I prefer the 1st for the reasons Ana stated in her first post. Maybe if the green stripes were darker? It could be the photos, but the jacket reads quite dark and heavy. I think it's a great jacket and you could wear it with many other things.

I like both combos and I think you could do this ad infinitum...with red, with orange, with yellow or mustard, with pink...you get the idea! Whatever tickles your fancy!

This styling works great. You can also use a solid colour top but this is fun and more casual, perhaps.
