NAS fever is contagious, and though I didn't actually shop at Nordstroms, I did do some shopping with F/W in mind, and added jeans, a sweater, a skirt, and a bag to my closet. However, the bulk of my purchases this month resulted from a fitness gear refresh. I am still within my budget, having spent just under 49% of my annual budget - with 5 months to go!

I jumped at Sal's challenge though my version was to wear orphaned items from my closet - by categories. I started (June) with button down shirts, and progressed (July) to lace tank tops. The button down challenge was a success. I rotated through ALL my button downs, and have kept 3 of them in high rotation for 2 months now. I wore 2 of the lace tank tops during a trip early in the month, and the third one this week. I still find them a little fancy for regular day-wear.

Having rediscovered how cool a loose button down is, I'm not very interested in wearing t-shirts or sweaters next month - if the heat wave continues. Thanks to Sal's challenge, this under utilized part of my wardrobe is seeing the light of day!

I did have to toss my beloved silver sneakers and favourite cropped jeans this month as the fabric gave way on both! I also did a hard edit of my fitness kit. My two mariner T's (looking tired) have been in and out of the donate bag. At the moment the navy with white stripes is in the dresser and the white with blue stripes is in the donate bag. The mission donation gets picked up next week!
