Yesterday while I was assessing my closet, I realized that > 90% of my tops could easily be culled due to poor fit. A part of me wanted to reach in, toss them in the donation box, and just be done with it. But that seemed rash.

Instead I focused on subcategories, starting with "casual." I assessed the fit of every single "casual" top in my wardrobe by trying it on in front of a mirror. I held my breath as I placed all the oversized tops in the donation box.

I culled eight casual tops. All of them in close-to-pristine condition, but poorly fitting. I could have demoted them to sleep/lounge wear, but that would have been a step backwards in my opinion. I knew I had to be strict.

I currently own four casual tops. All of them are short-sleeved tee shirts (white, navy, and black) and were purchased in September. They fit me well. I feel comfortable wearing them and they suit both my current life stye and my climate.

As a bonus, I also edited out three (!) "work" tops that were obviously oversized. I've known for a while that these three tops needed to be moved on, but for some reason, made excuses to keep them.

I drove my donation box straight to the Good Will so that I didn't have the opportunity to change my mind or second guess myself.

I will start to assess my "dressy casual" tops this week.

P.S. I need to do this now, along with everyone else, for strength and motivation.
