After my closet cull I have 4 items on probation and some items that don't get used because they need a repair of some sort. I'm going to address them right away, but would welcome some advice.

On probation:

Jean jacket. My least worn of the three, but with the white one gone, and the Ikat topper unlikely to last much longer should I keep? It was cool on Friday when I deeked out to the farmer's market so I threw it on - and kind of liked it with the boho floral topper and dark skinnies. Keep?

Aubergine leather jacket. It has a quilted lining that makes it heavier and warmer than a conventional leather topper. The colour is a rich, dark purple that I find hard to style. Turned out it was the perfect thing for another cool day and it worked well with the maroon sweater and scarf (tied to bag). I wear it a bit late fall/early winter and sometimes late winter/early spring, but otherwise would wear a trench. Keep?

Striped BR button down. Comes with a pussy bow. Very flattering fit. I haven't worn it since I retired. The tails are too long to wear untucked. I'm thinking of wearing it for Bridge night this week and see how I feel about it. Needs some outfit creation work. Any ideas?

Wool blend pencil skirt. I love this skirt and a favourite look is with a black turtleneck and black high boots. In holding zone and if I don't wear it in the next year - it goes?

For repairs:

Baroque pearls - broken clasp and the 'gold' beads between the pearls have rough edges and are scratching the pearls. With knots between the pearls it will be choker length. I could also get it made into two bracelets. I meet with a jeweler who specializes in pearls later this week. Any ideas?

High boots - in good shape and comfortable, but heel bottom is hard plastic and very slick in icy conditions and I feel insecure wearing them. I'm going to ask the cobbler if the heel bottom can be replaced with a grippy rubber.

Faux snakeskin pattern leather belt - an inexpensive belt, but an interesting and versitile pattern. I haven't been using it because it is too big for higher waisted bottoms. I need 2-3 holes at a $1 a hole and will bring it to,the cobbler.

What do you think? Ideas, advice welcomed.
