Hello, friends!
Here’s another challenge outfit! This time, I’m working with a black leather shirt from the brand Riani, now 9 years old. I usually wear it as a topper. For the "now" look, I’ve styled the leather shirt with a new knitted maxi skirt from Lindex, layering it over a royal blue viscose shirt from the Danish brand Norr.
This exercise also shows how accessories can completely transform an outfit’s vibe. I also tried to focus on texture and shine throughout. Here’s a breakdown of the looks:
1-8 are the "Now" looks.
1-3: I went with silver chunky oxfords from Max&Co (about 6 years old) and added silver jewelry. The sunglasses are vintage from the early 2000s. And for once – no scarf!
4-5: In this version, I wore my 10-year-old Tod’s monkstraps, adding a brown striped skinny scarf and gold sunglasses (Missoni). I experimented with two different bags here: in look 4, a vintage 80s Mulberry, and in look 5, an Etro clutch that's over 10 years old. Funny how the Etro clutch feels trendy again!
6-7: I added a large fuchsia bag (unbranded, from Amazon) and a knitted Missoni scarf.
8: Here, I tried a large knitted scarf handmade by my sister. The bag is from Italy, about 8 years old (brand unknown).
9: Finally, a throwback! The leather shirt "Then", about 6 years ago – styled with an Escada silk bow blouse, Escada black trousers, and metallic pumps from Dune. I still have and wear the blouse and trousers, but I’ve retired the pumps because they weren’t comfortable.
The "now" outfit is new territory for me – I usually don’t wear skirts, especially not maxi! It’s such a different style from the "then" look.
So, if you’ve had the patience to read this far, how did I do?
