Challenge Closet Edit: dressy pieces & a random vest

Angie’s post on trashing out the dressy look challenges on top of the closet edit forced me to pull these 2 item out and try them on.
I’m thinking to keep them both, but would be interested in hearing your feedback
The sweater in #1/2 doesn’t photograph as very dressy, but in person it has lurex threads so has a shimmer to it. What I like is it can be dressy or casual so it works if I’m not quite sure of the dress code. Plus it’s warm. Last worn to a house party about 3 years ago
Velvet shirt in #3/4 super comfortable. Works well with leggings or skinny jeans. Last worn to a work holiday party last year.
I know that neither is really current but is either rally dated?

And finally the vest.... thoughts, ideas, suggestions? Does it work belted?

I really like your sweater with the shimmer, it looks dressy and soft and comfy at the same time. The buttons seem to be pulling a bit though, I wonder if you could fix that with a few stitches along the button placket?
The vest is a great piece as well, I prefer it without belt.

I love what you've done in #5 and 6, kkards. Add some bling, and you are casual-party-appropriate. Yes, it works belted. Very now.

Sweater looks a little tight. Can you block it with a steam iron to create a slightly roomier fit? Should be easy, and I like it.

I can't really see the velvet shirt properly, but I think it's fine.

I like the vest - but would be able to see it better against the first top! I like that too. The velvet shirt looks a bit big on you? Or oversized in a good way? Hard to tell because of the darkness.

I like all the looks, especially the vest. The sweater reads casual without being able to see the lurex threads. Does the lurex make it look dressy enough?

First of all im jealous of your hardwood floors! They all look like nice daily wear pieces to me (but i wear velvet to work...). So, lets have some magpie, but still comfy, fun Silver booties, velvet or brocade pants, red clutch!
I dont love the belt with the vest, due to the pockets, but i agree try it with silver top too.

The vest is my favorite! Looks really nice on you and seems like it could easily be dressed up or down.

I would keep all three pieces at least through this season. Nothing looks dated to me. The first two tops with jeans could go to a casual holiday get together, like an ornament exchange, brunch or New Years Eve at a bar.

the velvet top is from the 1990s, and is the really oversized, but sooo comfortable. will keep...

the sweater will go into the holding zone, and if I find I go back for it this year, great, if not, it goes....

the vest....will play around some more with that....love it, but still stumped as to how to really wear it...
