Casual business dinner

I have a casual business dinner tomorrow night. Do you think olive pants go with a cobalt blue and white "chain print" silky sleeveless top from Banana Republic? I'm never sure if olive pants are neutral or I should wear white pants. Any advice?

I think you can use olive as a neutral the outfit sounds lovely. I wish I could see pictures to get a better feeling.

I love to use olive as a neutral. The idea of the outfit sounds great but as ladywone said, any pics you can show would be helpful.

Olive is a lovely color and can definitely serve as a neutral for a casual business setting (dressy casual is what I usually call it). I might add though that the fabrication will make or break the look. A study cotton might not be as business like as you hope. But I think you knew that. I just wanted to remind you.

Oh, and with regards to the olive with the cobalt/white top. Yes. I think that should work as well. I tend to team my olive with more chambray-ish blues and it totally works.

I prefer white and cobalt blue! The white makes the cobalt pop!

Hmm. I'm not sure a cobalt blue and white top go with olive, to be quite honest. The olive would have be "clear."

Olive is definitely a neutral with a optic white, blue or black..I like the sound of your outfit...The chain blouse with a 3rd piece in white blue or black would provide an interesting palate...
