Caslon Linen Blazer - What to wear under...?

I rescued this Caslon linen blazer from my hold area and realized it fits really well and is in good shape. The issue is I just don't really know what to pair it with. The sleeveless tops I own all seem to be dark and the contrast doesn't work to my eye.

Looking for suggestions on what tops to pair it with (under $50 is my goal). I think sleeveless or slim arms would be required so as not to look messy or bunched up. I like to scrunch/roll the sleeves.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

How does it look if your bottom is light to tone with your jacket, and your top is mid-tone or dark?

DonnaF - I wore it that way before but it wasn't the best look to me, but I know it all depends on various factors. I think it might look good with white or light colors under it and white bottoms. I'm surprised how hard it is to find white/light tops that aren't too sheer. It's too hot here to wear a cami plus a top and jacket but I'd love to wear the jacket once in a while since it is very light weight linen.

What about dresses? Something in light earth-tones or a print might look nice.

texstyle, have you ever tried Uniqlo's Airism camis? Supposedly they are anti-odor, breathe, and keep you dry. I tried a couple of the laser cut invisible line ones recently under see-through tops, and they performed as advertised. They are under $10, so I am debating whether to buy more. I run cold, so I am hesitant about over-buying.

If wearing a similar color under it, I like a different texture like lace, eyelet, or a shiny silk. How about a gingham top? A column of color or slim dress would work. If the jacket has a casual look, you might wear it with casual pants and a tee. I like stripes, but a graphic tee would work. If you don't like the sleeves on the tee, cut them off. I do this a lot when even a short sleeve feels too warm or bulky. They do not fray and can still be machine washed and dried.

Hmmmm. I always wear sleeve tops under all blazers. I wear one of two types: sleeveless button downs or tank tops.

You can find really nice, inexpensive sleeveless button downs anywhere. Have you ever shopped eBay? I found some great ones by Ralph Lauren. Perfect.

I also buy Perfect Tank Tops from J Jill. I am not recommending that particular brand. But that style is so perfect for what you have in mind. $24 at full price. They look much better in person than the stock picture shows.

Actually I like J'Aileen's idea. Could you find or would you like an inexpensive floral print top that had the colour of the blazer as part of the print? Then the blazer could sort of pick that out and it would also look good by itself with pants? A bit like the Not Your Daughter's Jeans print tops that BC has but a cheaper version? I will do a search.

ETA: kind of like the top photos ( all NJDJ) or the Finds below, all Finds sold out sadly, but you get what I mean hopefully?

It is a great jacket. I like the idea of a light colour underneath. Tank tops that are okay to wear on their own are hard to find. I noticed that Nic & Zoe had some but they are probably too expensive.

Texstyle--I have several of these Eddie Bauer shirts--I got them primarily to layer under a blazer. They have a light, slubby look but even the white one is sufficiently opaque to wear on its own without cami or topper.

Thank you all for the rec's - I wanted to shop my closet first so I've come up with a couple of options. White seems to be the easiest choice as I own a few tops in white that could work.

I would wear this in a casual "every day" sort of way, using the linen blazer for cold AC and sun protection. I'd probably pair it with white crops, white shorts, light wash crop jeans and maybe tan twill shorts.

Jaileen - I don't really own any dresses that I could wear with the blazer (I don't really wear dresses).
DonnaF- a cami wouldn't really help as I want something that works well on it's own when I take the jacket off
Joy- I've never tried cutting the sleeves off of a tee, but maybe I'll give it a try!
Sterling - I don't have any sleeveless button downs at the moment but I may add one in white. I used to have a couple of those jjill tanks too but they feel a bit too thick and fitted for me in the high heat.

Although I recommended the J Jill tank tops, I no longer wear them either. I found there was a bunching (or gathering) across the bust. Sizing up was not an option. I came to hate that bunching. I don't own any tank tops right now. I still like the idea of them though.

Sterling - I like a loose tank as opposed to anything body hugging. I try to stick with cotton or linen blends (which can be a bit sheer in light colors) or silks (harder to find for some reason). I don't have that many either - and two of the linen tanks I have are a little boxy - and probably a size too large for me really. I sometimes make the mistake of buying too large a size and then end up wearing it a few times so I'm stuck.
