SF - I was a bridesmaid twice in the 80s. Same Snow White dress (the Disney Snow White) both times, once in valentine red satin and once in midnight blue.

No doubt this is where my aversion to exaggerated puffed sleeves came from.

Well, the sleeves are big, but I don't think the dress looks juvenile. The length, the solid colour and the overall simple lines make it elegant to my eyes.
