Cartoon inspired?

I posted earlier about an outfit with my snakeskin boots. That outfit started with realizing that once again, I was wearing green pants, a black top and black boots... just like Kim Possible. My daughter has called me that for years when wearing this kind of outfit!

My husband has a similar comment whenever I wear a certain bracelet. He's sure it's from Wonder Woman. I usually tell him not to give away my secret identity.

Anyone else have a cartoon style inspiration?

I don't have a cartoon icon, but I do have movie ones. I have my Boba Fett sneakers and my Indiana Jones utility jacket and hat.

I remember Kim Possible so well! The kids loved it. Our DD2 and our son both have blue eyes and similar faces whereas DD1 has brown eyes and a different type of face. Hence we called the younger ones the “tweebs” ( twin dweebs) after Kim’s brothers, for years

That's interesting. I did actually recently think about my style as a bit "cartoonish", without the negative implications I mean. That I want to dress more "in character". Whatever that could mean. I do admire the great Modesty Blaise a lot, but her style isn't really mine. Maybe it's the uniform dressing I admire... hm..

To be clear, I don’t see anything wrong w cartoon inspiration. I bet 99% of the population wouldn’t think of KP when I wear those colors. I think it’s more an internal smile for me, and a reminder to me that fashion is fun!

Well I just offered my daughters some cargo jeans and they told me right away they are Kim Possible pants. My cartoon inspiration is Emily the Strange.

And I just washed a teddy bear from the surgery that was sponsored by Pamol, a brand of paracetamol/acetaminophen. He had a red thing around his arm the said “Pamol cares”. I told DH I wasn’t sure if I would put his Wonder Woman cuff back or not, but DH said I had gender confusion about the bear!

What a fun question - I loved Kim Possible! This made me think of these cartoon-inspired eyeglasses I tried on when picking new glasses last year:

They were very fun but they felt a little too modern/vibrant for my style at the time. Because of the outline on the frame, they look photoshopped or cartoony on people's faces in pictures, which I wasn't expecting - it was very playful!

If I could have a job in an alternate universe, I'd be a park ranger and I'd use The Wild Thornberrys as inspiration for my uniform (maybe with cartoon eyeglasses!).

I don’t have a particular cartoon inspiration I dress like, I do remember watching Kim Possible!

@Laura If I had a cartoon personality to match Eliza Thornberry would be mine too. I love being out in nature with animals and hiking taking photos.

My kids always say I remind them of Edna from the Incredibles--maybe when I had the bob? Other than that, I'm Frankie Heck.

I have used Cruella D'Ville as fashion inspiration. Dalmatians were not harmed in my outfit!

@kellygirl You may already know this, but Edna was inspired by the great costume designer Edith Head (worked on many Hitchcock films).

I was never a cartoon watcher, just Sesame Street and such, but I was influenced by Evil Kineval (didn't end well....). So, does Jessica Rabbit hair count? Or dressing as Xena for Halloween?
