Carpenter pants

I tried the Gap version which I didn't care for. I would like to try these in brown. I don't own anything in junior's sizing. What's a good starting point for size? I'm usually a 4-6 in bottoms at Gap/BR. Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar with this brand, but I see that there is a conversion given on the product page. Does this help?

Juniors' to women's: 0=24, 1=25, 3=26, 5=27, 7=28, 9=29, 11=30, 13=31, 15=32

I have found that juniors' sizing seems to run a little narrower through the hips than misses', so I might start with the larger of your two sizes if you are curvier.

Junior's sizing starts usually with 00 size - 23 in a waist size;
1 size - 24 waist or 00 in women
3 size - 25 waist or 0
5 size - 26 waist or 2
7 size - 27 waist or 4 and so on.
It depends on the brand and style of jeans/pants and approximate at best. I like the idea of carpenter pants - looking forward to updates on your search.

I just bought my 17 year old son a pair of Dickies carpenter pants for work. Purchased at a work wear store, not the Gap, but I assume they are the same thing.

His thighs are disproportionally muscular and large for his waist size (hockey player/baseball catcher). The Dickies carpenter pants are cut more generously through the hips and thighs and so they worked in his usual pant size. He tried the other styles and found them too narrowly cut through the hip and thigh for his build.

Thanks, Fabbers. It says relaxed fit and the reviews say size down or order your normal size. I think I'll order the size that corresponds with my measurements and the next one up to be safe. Will report back!

They look like they'd work well for you, and could see them with your leopard moto!
No help with sizing though. Juniors are cut much straighter, in theory, but sizes are all over the map now....
