DH's university faculty grad class organized a 30th reunion in the Domincan Republic. I expect to spend most of my time in a bathing suit, but there will be some ( fancy) pm events.
I have a small fancy dress capsule that is mostly for a cooler climate, but I have 2 dresses that might work. Your opinion please. Have I got an outfit, or do I need to go shopping?
# 1 travel capsule: 3 bathing suits, cover up tunic with loose Capri pants, striped t's and tank tops, white shorts, yellow skirt, Pucci- esque top, lacey black cardi, black dress, flip flops, open- toe flats, yellow sandals.
#2 black dress with open toe flats. Is it too somber for this type of vacation?
# 3 on the plane. Jean style stretchy pants, BCBG top, DKNY black trench, Steve Madden Chelsea boots, yellow purse I've had for years ( despite the frowny face- happiness factor 10+)
#4 change up on the plane. Roll up pants, and switch boots for sandals.
#5 pastel cotton sundress with silver threads, Franco Sarto Kailey sandals. I'm concerned this might be too casual, or 'mutton dressed as lamb'?
