Coincidentally I wore #1 today - I was running late and actually did not have time to read the blog before leaving for work. Mostly I just wanted to wear boots and see if I could pair this cardigan with a beloved but "closet orphan" dress.
I am amazed by the beautiful and creative examples that the rest of you have posted! (MaryK, I've never paired my Nine West dress with a cardigan! I'll have to try that this winter.)
I also have some archive examples, some of which are quite old. I guess I wear cardigans more often with skirts, not with dresses.
This one is actually a knit dress AND it has sleeves; somehow it still fit smoothly and comfortably under the cardigan, partly because I scrunched my sleeves.
The quality of this picture is terrible, but it is a no-contrast combination (gray on gray.)

Looking through previous photos, think I wear cardigans over skirts WAY more often than over dresses.
