I am also looking for a cotton cardigan in an earth tone. I have narrowed it down to either Tradlands Shelter Cardigan or L'Envers Anna. Both are beautiful and are about the same price.
I read a few reviews, and it looks like the Tradlands is more oversized than the L'Envers. The Tradlands has dropped shoulders, and the L'Envers has raglan shoulders. I can look like a waif in oversized cardigans with dropped shoulders.

I am leaning towards the L'Envers in Orca.

These are the contenders:

#1 Tradlands burnt sienna
#2 Tradlands clover
#3 L'Envers Orca
#4 L'Envers Terra

I am open to any feedback.

These are two pictures of me wearing cardigans.

The cream cardigan in picture #2 is oversized and has dropped shoulders.

Oh! Bet they all will look gorgeous on you! A very "you" look. I was about to say I am personally not a fan of very contrasting buttons like in #3, but I see that is your favourite. Hm..

Very much prefer the L'Envers, and thanks you for introducing me to this company, they have many beautiful things that appear to be very well made.

Raglan sleeve in a heavy knit would always be preferable to dropped for me.

Wow they are all beautiful colours!
I like the 2 pics of you in the other cardigans. I think with them, the dropped shoulder one does look more slouchy and casual, and so maybe the new dropped shoulder ones would look more slouchy than the raglan sleeve ones. Personally I like raglan sleeves on myself and you may or may not feel the same. Both colours of raglan sleeve cardigans are gorgeous! Synne does have a point that the buttons are very obvious on the one you like, and seem less so on the other. Just something to consider.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I had not noticed the buttons on the cardigans of the L'Envers. Interesting. I will go back and look more carefully at it.
Synne, I love all the colours, but I am trying to consider which would be the most flattering. The terra is gorgeous, but I am not sure if it is too dark for me.

I do like the l’envers better for the sleeve, I wish it came slightly more oversized

Angie, do you prefer #1 and #2 because of the dropped sleeve? I might look like a waif. But, of course, that was a look in the 90s.

They're all gorgeous and I don't think there's a wrong choice in the bunch!

I tried the Shelter Cardigan last fall and did not find it to be overwhelming at all. I'm between an XS and a S and would go with a S for a little slouch; the XS fit was a bit "proper" for such a chunky knit. It's a great piece -- I'm waiting for the Plum to come back in stock. Tried the Burnt Sienna and it was just a bit too orange for me (the older stock photos made it look more brown, but the photo in the OP is much truer to life).

I love L'Envers, tried on a Claude Cardigan a couple years ago but it was too long and too woolly for me. Very glad they have some cropped and cotton options now. I'm tempted by the Terra colour, and they have a beautiful pale sage colour now as well.

Well, I find the green hard to pass up! What a lovely shade. But my first pick was the L'Envers in Terra for you. I like the color, as it seems a "red" that would be lovely on you, and I like that it has matching buttons. That detail adds versatility and longevity, which seem key to your style. (i.e., the idea that you pick pieces that will stand the test of time.) Maybe you could use two??

I think you look good in your cream cardigan, so I'm not convinced that a dropped shoulder is a less than optimal look on you.

Hmm, I like the green color but the cut of the L'envers better. And those colors are great also. If you could only try one #3 makes sense. Can you try them both on?

I like the Tradelands best because it is cotton and longer. I do not like dropped sleeves and the buttons as much. If you and your wardrobe are warm, all the colors might work. If cool, the clover color would be best. Good luck.

Coming back to say, I agree with Firecracker that you would look great in the darker Terra colour. And I do still like those buttons better.
This is disagreeing with Angie though, yikes!

You look great in both your cardigans, but personally I always prefer more structured styles too. I love the green cardigan colour, if it were me, I would try the green cardigan but size down (I am generally between an S and XS - so with this style, I would chose XS). Taking the volume out will help with the oversized feel of the dropped shoulder.

I like the shape of 3, but agree about the buttons. Easy thing to swap them out though! I think the green is my second favorite.

The two Tradlands cardigans are not currently available. I am an XS or S, so that means waiting a while. I am now thinking more about #4.

I’m no help—think these all look like your colors, and that raglan & dropped sleeves can both make shoulders look sloped. I like the fun of contrast buttons & the green sweater catches my eye, but that’s me—might not be you.

I like the cream sweater on you so definitely think a dropped shoulder can work. As for color, I love #3 the most but it would depend on what you want to wear with it.

Hmmm. The green colour is gorgeous and would be sensational on you. But I, too, would worry about that dropped shoulder. It can really get sloppy. But then, again, the devil is in the details -- so it might be a question of ordering and trying on and seeing how this particular cut works.

My preference is the L’Envers for the raglan sleeve. Nicer lines, IMO. Were you planning on ordering a wool or a cotton cardi? The Anna comes in a handsome dark green in the cotton https://www.lenversfashion.com/products/anna-cardigan-organic-cotton-forest-green , but I like your choice of ochre as well.

I think I prefer the raglan sleeve too. I love the contrasting buttons on 3. I like all the colours here and think they will suit you.
