It's been a while since I've traveled in Europe. My main recollection was that women dressed up way more than we do in the western US. Ten years later, has this changed, and in particular, would outfit in #3 be too casual? I want to have an option for a really hot day. What about the sandals? Too American slobby? or have Europeans adopted more gearish footwear? I am taking my Naots as my primary walking shoe, these would be a back-up.

My mom, sisters and I are going to London, Paris and a river cruise to Normandy. My sisters have never been out of the US before, and Mom has never been to Europe, so we will do all the super touristy stuff and the cruise line tours. I need to pack light as I will be helping Mom with her stuff too.
