Can't seem to get to the point

Okay, 4 posts erased now! Anyone have trouble getting out of their head?? I'm trying to leave the numbers game alone and just keep documenting WIW's until year's end and look at outfit and item frequency then. In the meanwhile I want to just relax and play with my clothes. Sheesh, you'd think it would be easier than all that.
Maybe I need to take a walk lol!

Oh, I'm sorry you are overwhelmed. I am having trouble keeping up with the latest on each member's style evolution, so I'm sorry if I'm asking something you have explained already. What are your current goals wardrobe wise and why do you think you need the number crunch? I have been on this style thing "foreva" and I have made so many mistakes along the way that perhaps I can help you out!

Thanks Zap! I think hormones are playing with me ha. The gist is I want to figure out a plan to buy for next year that keeps amounts and cost under control, but updates my stuff at a reasonable rate. Trouble is, it's all theory if you don't know how often you are wearing what to start with.
I need to chill out on making lists with the likes of "18 tops worn 7 times per season for 6 years equals 42 wears in it's lifetime" type of stuff. Yes, I do this. I think I have too much time on my hands and not enough wine in the house HAHAHAHA. Just need to chill out and wear what I like, and enjoy it, for the time being

Ah, I see what you are doing. Would it satisfy your numbers thirst to just diligently track your wears for the time being? As in, dress to be happy and have fun, then mark down what you wore, and after a while evaluate what got the most use?

OR, just be wild and fancy free for now, since you will be moving soon. You can bust out the analytics again in Tahoe.

Rae, exactly. My big 'plan' is to continue with daily pictures. I can then analyze the numbers at the end of the year if I want with concrete numbers of what I wore. For now, just wear and snap a pic. The end. hee hee

I like that plan. Until you have the concrete data, it's all theoretical anyway. Either that, or you warp your data by trying too hard to use something you don't really like to wear that much just to get the CPW down - which is good, but doesn't really help you with future purchases.

I think Rae has ht the proverbial nail in the head. I would just keep in mind that sometimes you fall out of love with an item before it's due time so CPW is gonna be higher, however, I do not consider that a purchasing mistake. On the other hand, there are pieces that are just favorites so CPW becomes diminimus. The numbers might help you out but don't let that be the only deciding factor.
