Can't find Remove Spam button

Greg, in Angie's recent post about moderation, she mentioned that active members should have a Remove Spam option for posts. I am an active member, but I can't find that option anywhere—unless I'm not looking in the right spot. I did load the page in Firefox (I normally use Safari), but I still couldn't see the option.

I do have the option to report a post, just not to delete spam. Is this part of the issue with my web browser (Safari 5.1.10)? I know that you said when I was having problems with the Finds options that the problem was linked to my old version of Safari and my older operating system (Mac OS 10.6.8).

Hi Gigi,

Can you see the little "gear wheel" (bottom right next to the heart) under your post on this thread?
You should be able to hover over that and see several options appear, the last option is remove spam.

Let us know if you can't see it.

Gigi, one reason for this might be that you are looking for the "Remove Spam" button on a post where you don't have that option. In your case that would be people at the "veteran" level.

EDIT: Looking more closely it seems that I have only enabled spam reporting for veterans right now. But that is something I want to change. I will update everyone when I have done so.

Inge, I thought that that is where it should be, but it isn't there. Glad to know I wasn't nutty! I see that Greg should be updating everyone to have this feature. I'm glad I asked.

Thanks Gigi. We do have to take a little care in who gets this feature because it is the power to delete a post (at least temporarily). So if everyone had it, then spammers and other people with bad intentions would have it too.
