Canadians: do you order from Nordstrom's online?

I love the clothes that are featured on this site from Nordstroms.

I am a little hesitant due to shipping fees however since I live in Canada.

Do any of you ladies from Canada bite the bullet and order on line from Nordstroms?

Nope; I really liked some stuff from the Rack; but the shipping & handling & duty fees eat up any savings I would have otherwise accrued.

I have but not often. I live in MB and there is a service just over the border (an hour drive) that I can use to send packages and pick them up. I do this often to take advantage of the significantly lower prices and better selection available from U.S. retailers.

A perfect example is the Miz Mooz Yael shoe. I bought it online from a U.S. store for less than $90 with free shipping and it was available in 5 colors. It sells at Towne shoes for $145 plus 12% taxes and is only available in black and brown.

Nope. Besides being *very* tactile, (shoes and clothes can not be the least bit uncomfortable and often don't look on me like they do on the model) (I know! GASP) the money I would pay to have it shipped, plus the GST and PST and brokerage fees simply don't make it worth it for me. If I had to send something back (I'm a serial returner) I would be paying to own nothing...

I make up for it when I actually *get* the States and shop though!

I get lots of ideas from here, but I shop brick and mortar.

I haven't still, although some of the things Angie posts really make me hesitate.Besides the fees I'm like Kim and love to feel the clothes and see the shoes IRL).
Also I usually prefer national brands (whatever country I'm in).
For example, I think RW&CO has a lot of merchandise that follows great part of the trends and the quality is rather good.

I haven't tried it yet either. Occasionally I will order online from US retailers if they're offering free shipping. But even then the duty can be obscene sometimes.

We get to Seattle about once a year. The next time we go I will definitely be taking a shopping list with me. I heard a rumour though that Nordstroms is looking at Toronto, so maybe that's good news for the rest of us across the country?

that would be fabulous if Nordstroms was coming to Toronto. I am on the West Coast though - I can only hope.
