When I was away on one of my marathon weekends away recently, I went into a Lole store. I came away with the best little cardigan... made of gearish material, but not at all a gearish cut - it has angled drapyness, comfy, doesn't wrinkle, will dress up or down... pretty much perfect.

I didn't have time to examine the store in detail, but did notice some nice tunic sweaters, and some great summer dresses.

I also discovered there was one here in Halifax, has been for years, not sure how that got by me

So just got back from a visit. Sure, the store is primarily gear. But they do have some lovely non-gear pieces, and seem to be pretty decent quality. I came away with a white tank top, great drape, NOT SEE-THROUGH, and nice wide shoulder coverage. I may order it in another colour

They also had some nice capris, sweaters, a travel dress, tees... all in the "non-gear" category.

So if you haven't checked it out, might be worth a visit, esp for basics. And to keep your eye on.

If you like Lole, you might want to check out Fig clothing, too. They're a bit "dressier" than Lole, but still very much geared toward comfort and travel.

My winter puffer is Lole. It's great quality. I have had it now for 5 hard winters.

I don't have any of their other clothing. It's mostly gear and yoga wear but some has great crossover potential.

That's what I was thinking Suz... crossover potential. There's not much chatter here about them, and with the "sporty luxe" look being more mainstream, thought it was worth bringing them to people's attention. If their head is in the sand, as mine obviously was :).

I didn't realize they'd been around as long as they have!

I've never heard of Fig clothing. Sounds intriguing.

Hudson Bay carries Lole now. I've bought the few pieces I do have from Golf Town and The Bay - I really like how the line looks, but find fit hit and miss. The golf stuff is great, but the yoga/workout pieces didn't work out too well .

Nice find, Elizabeth. I have seen Lole jackets, but always forget that they sell other items. While gear-ish, that style of cardigan would be an excellent crossover piece for spring/summer in a casual office.

I really like that tank. I have a few Lole items that I definitely enjoy, my favorite being a jacket I purchased for walking the dogs when it's rainy and cold in spring and fall.
