Are you kidding? I think they look amazing. If you wanted a slouchier fit you could try the size up but as is they look fabulous already.

An aside -- I'm always perplexed by your comments about how you look in jeans and pants. From what I have seen, you wear them like an absolute pro and look fantastic in them all. So I wonder if this might not be a hangover from earlier days when you were not as happy with your weight? And/ or earlier days when it was harder to find cuts of jeans that worked with different body types?

Thanks, Suz. I do have a hang up about pants fitting my thighs. My weight's always been relatively stable. I think it's more the proliferation of pant shapes that confounds me. Back in the day, Levi's seemed to fit around the hips and fall perfectly from there. Now there seems to be so many more fit points to worry about...waist, hips, rear, thighs, calves. They just don't always come together for me, and the thighs seem to be toughest spot.

But seriously, how can there be any doubt in your mind?!
These look so PERFECT on you! I like mine on me pretty well, but yours look way better- like they're made for you! If you really need a slouchy pair you could get the next bigger size, too, but if you return this pair you should have your head examined!

Hmm -- I think they look really good, too. And in the rear view, the thigh portion does look fairly relaxed. Not quite slouchy, but not like they're strangling you. Do they feel comfortable?

They look amazing! But of course we don't know how they feel. and as a person who's also very self conscious about the thighs, I totally get you. These do not look tight, at all.

So, did you get your regular size, or size up? I think I know what I'm going to do, but after seeing these, want to make sure!

They look fantastic! Fitted, but not tight. I think someone else mentioned that they stretched out quite a bit after wearing, so you could end up with the best of both worlds.

These look incredibly good on you Carter - love how they taper at the calves. I'm just wondering if you would want to try the next size up to see what the slouch is like? Unless you're not going for slouch, in which case this size is perfect.

Thanks, Elizabeth. I usually wear 27s in jeans with lots of stretch and 28s in less stretchy denims. These are the 28s. Straight out of the box the waist band was 31" and the thigh just below the crotch was almost 22". If you want to PM me tonight, I will measure again to see how much they stretch over the course of a day.

Carambola, that's exactly what I'm hoping for. Wearing them today so we'll see how they look and measure tonight.

This is how mine fit, and I have a similar body profile - stable weight, with thighs the trouble spot for pants fitting well.
The Nikkis ease up a little more in the thighs and butt with wear, and I'm really glad I didn't size up.
Love them on you, and I hope you enjoy them!

Love your attitude, if one is good, two is better
This is precisely what happened to me with my Kut white BF's... I ordered two pairs to see which I liked better, and ended up keeping them both. The smaller are better for casual days at work, and the bigger for sheer comfort, esp on a warmer day. I'd prefer not to have that happen to me with these ones though - they are pretty expensive for us Canucks (that don't have access to a US post box).

Anyway, glad you're keeping them. Hope you feel as fab as i know you look.

It's amazing to see how much tighter most people are wearing their Nikkis. Mine are much looser. There is no right and wrong here. Its merely an interesting observation.

Elizabeth P, that's what I'm thinking about having a second slouchier pair. I hear you about shipping charges. Drives me nuts when I have to pay shipping.

Angie, it's those perfectly skinny legs of yours! I think no matter what size I got, they would never fit me the same way they fit you:-(. This whole tight jean thing is new for me. I wore Levi's straight legs until I was in my mid 20s. After that, it was bootcuts for 25 years. I just bought my first skinnies 3-4 months ago, so it's still quite a challenge to figure out how they should fit.

I see it's already been said - you look amazing! I look better in slouch but if I looked like you I'd have sized down to get this fit! I do to understand where you see thigh issues.

And Angie, mine are baggy too. But tight in this cut would not work on me anyway.

I'm glad you decided to keep them, they look fantastic on you. This is exactly how I would like them to fit on me (were I to buy them) – not to baggy, just a bit of ease. If after 3-4 wears these become slouchier, then this would be like having two pairs or Nikkis: a bit snugger after washing and then more boyfriend-ish on the 3rd or 4th wear. The incredible morphing jeans : )

Oh, Carter. You crack me up. (((HUGS))). Actually, the Nikkis in a size 25 fit me like these do you. (Killer gorgeous on you btw. You were made for skinnies and straight legs). I do not have relatively thin legs despite my slight frame. I sized up to a 26 for a baggier look. In my mind, looser clothing makes you look slimmer. I'm in the mood for slim boyfriends - or relaxed skinnies I guess. Been watching too many catwalk shows. I'll be slopping around in jumpers that are bigger than Greg's if I carry on this trajectory.
