Hi Em -- it's hard to suggest specifics without knowing more about your colouring, your wardrobe and your style, but there have been some great posts on the forum lately with ideas for pairing with burgundy (this jacket is described as "garnet" I think, but it reads in that family on my screen? It is lovely, btw!)

Some ideas include ice blue, shades of shocking pink, red, orange, white, green, patterns with a hit of that colour in it....

Hi Em! Am i remembering your past posts correctly, that you’re not crazy about combat boots because they’re too close to your work uniform? I got an error message at that link, but I gather it is a burgundy skirt. Maybe you could take a screen shot of it and post the pic? There’s been a little trend to burgundy, orange, and cream on the forum lately. Personally, I like wearing it with pale pink, or fuchsia, or berry colors.

The link I'm looking at is a gorgeous burgundy or garnet jacket.

Colors: Dark turquoise or deep teal green, light peachy pink, peach, or orange, and creamy white. A very saturated, rich olive green (the pants in the stock photo look a little 'dusty' against the richness of the jacket), or a holly green color for late fall and winter. Pale metallic gold or silver knit top or lightweight sweater.

I keep thinking of wines, and I feel like there must be a purple that would
be amazing with this jacket.

Garments: A ruffled button-down shirt, or a lightweight cashmere sweater underneath. Houndstooth or plaid check that has a bit of burgundy.

Equestrian leather boots, or any sort of shoe that has a sleek line, and is richly-colored leather. Maybe patent leather, if the occasion is dressier, such as the holidays.

In terms of colors: cream/white, all the blues (especially light blue and navy), pinks and berries (especially blush and fuchsia), olive, even lilac.

In terms of top styles: thinner solid sweaters (merino, cashmere), turtlenecks, solid and striped tee, Victorian blouses, solid and plaid shirts, etc.

I like burgundy worn with burgundy! As well as shades and tones of red, orange, bright pink, blue denim, turquoise, and navy, and with all sorts of whites.

As for tops, you're looking at slim tees and light weight sweaters, some shirts, some turtlenecks, and simple blouses. Kkards did a great job.

With any topper I would have three tops or maybe two that could be layered under the jacket individually or two or three at once. Once could be a print. Something silky and sleeveless, a button down shirt and the jacket,with maybe a thin knit over the button down, then the jacket over that. I would look for a top the same shade of burgundy as the jacket for a modern twin set. Don’t forget texture. You might also keep an eye out fora scarf to match the jacket and a pair of pants to make a suit with the jacket. Look for rich burgundy colored leather footwear and bag.
