Can you help me style zebra print jeans?

I picked up dark gray zebra print jeans from Ann Taylor. I was wondering if I were on the right track with regards to styling it:

Basic elements:
* Zebra print pants
* Oversized/slouchy cream sweater OR fitted black turtleneck
* Wedge heels, either bright or muted color...I picked a suede for texture.

yes...either the sweater with a bit of tuck or the fitted turtle. with the turtle, how about a jacket? love the suede wedge, though i have a preference for a pointy or almond toe.

would it help to think about the pants as a dark grey/charcoal pant, rather than a print pant? the print is all over that, to me, reads as a neutral color rather than a pattern.

Yes, I wore my ikat ones in such a way. Not zebra, but pretty close. Sounds great.

bj111 - you are probably right - but I've never been one to wear heels of any kind with jeans, ever. I sometimes like the look, but for some reason, I have never embraced the look. I almost never see the look around here, and for that reason, it seems, I dunno, sort of fashion magazine/J Crew/fashion bloggy in aesthetic? Heh. Let's just say I'm not adventurous. However, the print seemed to call for something a bit dressier than flats, though the denim itself is not particularly fancy/sparkly, etc.

Absolutely, I love this styling idea, MPJ. A leather jacket, white button-down and some kind of bootie or ankle boot could be another option.

Inge - yes, I like the wedge pumps, but...I guess I'd be sans hosiery? Seems weird to me in December in New England. I'd prefer a bootie...I will take a look-see. I do have a nice white blouse...I will try to style it later and take pix. Thanks for that suggestion. Sometimes I forget what I have in my closet!
