Can you help me pick? Brown boots.

I'm searching for a pair of knee high chestnut colored flat boots. I love the trendy look but would like ultimately for them to be classic looking for a few years of wear. So far I narrowed the choices to those:
1. Vince Camuto Fivvy (love the look but think that maube it's a little much, lacing, and the buckles, plus the gold zipper.. Too much gold? I like how they can be tightened with the buckles and love the overall look...)
2. Miz Mooz King (great color and all the reviews were raving. I'd have to make a trip to Nordies to try them on to make sure they're not too big in the shaft, but there are a lot of complains online that they are indeed narrow in shaft. They seem a little shorter than a true knee high boot though. But love the color and the buckles)
3. Franco Sarto Pacaya (it might be too wide in shaft, most probably)
4. Boutique 9 Randall (they're a little pricy though. And mostly sold out in Taupe Brown color)
Any insights will be greatly appreciated.
Oh, I plan on wearing them mostly with skinnies and casual wear, but wouldn't mind them dressed up for a date night or dinner. Thanks!

I think #4 is the trendiest pair, because of the distressing. 1-3 all look pretty classic to me... #1 does have a lot going on, but the buckles and laces are self-colored, so it doesn't look busy at all. If it helps at all, the placement of the buckles on 1-3 will add volume to different parts of your leg...

I love the Miz Mooz ones. Second favorite is number one.

But what would go better with your wardrobe -- a warmer brown, or the cooler taupe-y color?

It's all about the fit and comfort- have your tried any of these on yet? If not, can you order several pair and return all but one?

I love #1. The detailing might look like a lot, but I think they will actually dress up an add a hint of "ooh" to the skinnies you'll be wearing, as long as they are non-patterned ;). If you'll be wearing them in the winter/cold weather, then the buckles, etc. will add texture and detail to the monochromatic jacket/monochromatic pants combo.
They also look more elegant than #2 (which would be my second choice, as I don't particularly dig 3 and 4).

#1-3 are all very classic looking, though #1 is fairly on-trend with the hardware and laces, and #4 is only semi-trendy to me. I'd pick #1 if you want something that's classic but on-trend, though as others have said you really do need to try them all on.

#1 and #2 are my faves--they look classic but still interesting (particularly the VC.) I'm a huge MM fan--they make great, comfy shoes.

Yes.. I realize I can't pick a good pair without trying ;). I'm going to make a trip to the Nordstrom in my area that carries the Miz Mooz and try them on (maybe they'll have the VC ones in stock too? not likely, but I hope). That will help me either fall in love with them or completely eliminate it. I like VC and MM best out of the four anyways. Thanks for insights!!

I like #3 the best - I am in minority here, I see. My second choice would be #1 but I cannot see the laces really well in the picture so they do not read too busy to me. I have tried a pair of boots on with 5 buckles and that was too much but 3 maybe OK.:-)

I love 1. It's a great color and it will be a secure investment. Tall boots are expensive so I prefer ones that will last for seasons!

Sveta: the laces are dyed along with the leather so they're not really distinguishable, they're only 'for show' also.
Hmm, would they (VC) be too much to wear with a skirt and a hose (if I ever ventured into that territory LOL). Dark solid skirt (basic, no establishment, above knee) and black/dark gray diamond tights for example.. I don't know if that would be too much? I know with the buckles, to tone down with jewelry (I don't wear much anyway, but I do wear white gold only, would that count as mixing metals??). Oh, so much to learn!

I like the looks of #1 and #2 because to me the brown is more rich. Ofcourse as Angie says trying them on is best.

Ok, here is me wearing the Miz Mooz. I was sure they would gape at the top (because that I always the case with boots), to my shock, 6 was tight at the shaft! Never happened before. Anyways, I need 6.5 or 7 in boots so here I am trying them on (6.5 on right leg and 7 on left one). Love them, they look so cute on and are made to last, nice thick leather and so on. 6.5 fits perfectly in the calf (I mean I won't be able to fit skinny jeans into, only leans probably, but I can wear them with leggings- no gapping at all WOW). The foot part seems on the narrow side though, length is OK, I wore thicker socks already just in case and I think the leather will stretch a little there for a custom fit?
7 seems roomier overall, too wide in shaft for leggings (I think you can see it in the picture too), and some heel slippage. So I think I'd need 6.5,
Do they fit as good as I think (or I need better contacts?) lol? Thanks!!
