Can you handle one more NAS post?

I was lucky enough to visit a B&M Nordstrom last Friday and try on a lot of the NAS items that interested me. Alas, nothing really worked so I came home and ordered a couple of items to try.

First, the Munro "Betsy" bootie. Cognac booties have been on my list since last year's NAS. I searched and tried all last season but never found ones that pleased me. These might be the ones. They are the right color, have a little heel, are comfy, and go with denim/pants or skirts/dresses. Opinions?

Second, the Eileen Fisher silk blouse in "dark tulip" (modeled so beautifully by Firecracker). It's not a need, really....just an upgrade of the Pleione blouse I bought at last year's NAS. Not convinced on this one.

Love the booties. Feminine and so pretty. The EF blouse looks a bit large, but perhaps that is how it is supposed to fit, more fluid than structured?

Booties are awesome on you, Nancy! I like the blouse, too, so really, it's up to you whether it's a good time to make the switch to silk. I know for me, wearing silk is just so wonderful. I far prefer it to anything else. (So far I only own a couple of silk blouses, but I can see my collection growing...)

Fun booties, I like these a lot and vote keep. I like the top you already own. The EF looks similar but with a tad less structure. Would this be a replacement for your Pleione one? They look quite similar, if you keep, are you ok with two very similar tops?

Thistle, the EF blouse is a Small but I know what you mean about it looking "large." It has a somewhat boxy fit that I'm not loving. Thanks for noticing it, too....I'm starting to think this isn't something worth keeping.

Suz, silk really is the best, isn't it? But I'm starting to think this EF blouse is not a keeper. The more I try it on and look at it the more I think it's not quite fluid and sleek enough for my style. There are plenty of silk blouses out there!

Lisa, if I keep the EF it will be in addition to the Pleione one. They are different enough colors, fabrications, and styles to serve different functions. That said, I'm not in love with the EF. And I want to be in love!

The booties are great! I would send the blouse back until you find a silk one you love.

The booties seem like a good basic that you'll wear all the time.

The blouse is really pretty and a good color on you, but since you already have one so similar, I wonder if you should hold out for something more unique or dramatic since I know you've been wanting to work on your more artistic/ elegant eclectic style.
It sounds like you're not all that excited about the blouse. Why not wait for something that thrills you?

The blouse is going back. Ceit and Parsley, I agree that it's not perfect and I don't love it...so why keep it?

I think you made the right choice on the blouse, ja.

On a tangent, I've noticed sometimes sizing up can make a top look less big on me.

Nancy, did you try a size down in the EF blouse? It's hard to see but it looks like you could go smaller in the shoulders.
