Janet started a thread the other day (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....rant-ahead) about jeans -- specifically the extreme skinniness of the current skinny jeans offerings -- and since I just went jeans shopping at our "nice" department store (Holt Renfrew) last weekend, I thought I'd add to topic.

My findings: WTF IS GOING ON WITH CALF CIRCUMFERENCE. I tried on pretty much every skinny jean in the store (no straight legs available; Angie wasn't kidding) and most of them, even if they fit in the thigh, were so tight in the calf that they were nearly painful. And the hole where your foot comes out? My feet could barely pass through. And I have small feet.

Keep in mind that this is one of the nicest department stores in Vancouver, so their jeans selection should include the higher quality brands.

I did find a pair I liked (Citizens of Humanity skinnies) but I sized up so they would have a bit of ease in the waist and thigh, and didn't cut off the circulation in my calves. But still, one pair of jeans out of a whole massive store? Normally I can find six pairs of jeans that fit great and that I like. Rag and Bone, which I had success with last year, were so unbelievably tight that I could barely get them on in a size that's two up from my usual.

I don't know what I'm expecting people to say here…just commiserate, I guess, or else tell me where I can find a nice, normal pair of straight leg jeans?
