Hello everyone,
Apologies for not being around much but knew I had a very knowledgeable community to ask this question.

I just bought these boots, my feet have been fussier this year and these boots are great, so comfortable and really go with everything that I wear.
They are ,however, very expensive for my budget.
My question is, can the soles be replaced or fixed when they wear down which they always do. These are an everyday kind of boots and I live on cobbled streets and work in rough art rooms.

If anyone has any information about this, I would be grateful- I do not want them to last only a season. So few shoes are 10 hour ones, which I need as a commuter.

I generally find my lug soles don't wear down. But yes, I believe they can be replaced.

I'm not sure but I think it is more to do with how the sole is attached than whether or not it is a lug sole. If it is stitched on it can be replaced. If it is glued on I'm not so sure. I tend to find re-solable shoes are more expensive, which you get back by not having to replace them as often. If I can find cheaper shoes that are attractive & comfortable, not easy but possible, then these days I am buying them. I never did before but now I won't mind them dating if they didn't cost me so much.

I have never heard of Paola Ferri before.
They do not looked stitched and the sole feels soft . They are very light which is probably why they feel so comfortable.

Light soles concern me abt longevity. Are they a rubberized material? If they are light, I wonder if they have hollow pockets and a thinner actual sole.

Those won't be resolable. Not because of lug soles, but what Elle said. For your stated lifestyle, these are a one-season shoe. Especially if exposed to weather. Unless you can extend it by alternating them with a different boot.

Mind if I ask, what is your budget? I've gotten more hours from sturdier boots by sizing up half and using inserts.

I'm not sure why you think is this a one-season boot, AmyK. These look to me like they will wear very well.

I have a small budget but very fussy feet, would not want these to be one season boots, however I would not wear them every day.
My concern is always comfort. I love them and have not found a style this cute and comfortable.
I do not know why they would be one season, would the sole be irreplaceable?
Does not seem hollow.
They are from Nordstrom, if they self- destruct in less than a season, I think they would take them back.
I am leaning toward keeping, I agonize about things lasting forever and maybe I just need to take the risk, I do not feel as if there is a definitive answer on this.

Definitely not resolable, but if they're what you need right now, that would give you time to keep looking for the ideal combination of comfort and longevity.

With luck the sole is better material than Paola Ferri uses in their oxfords; SIL's wore down incredibly quickly. They also left marks on floors.
