Can I pull off this haircut?

Hi everyone! Normally I'm much more of a lurker than a poster, but today I'd like to ask for some advice.

I have a haircut appointment tomorrow. I've attached photo of how my hair looks now, it's getting too long for my preference (haven't had a haircut since December) but you get the idea.

I want to do something a little edgier but I'm afraid of going too short. Can I pull off something like the second picture? My concerns are: 1) that my head will look too small for my body and 2) that I will look masculine. What do you all think? Thanks in advance!

I think you would look lovely. It's not a full body photo but you don't look like you have pinhead potential. That is a classically feminine do and very sexy - not manly at all! Would look great with your specs too, but you might need to bring the bangs up a bit - I used to hate it when my bangs kinda flipped up at the edge of my glasses.

I think it will be really cute! And it's a very feminine cut - nothing manly about it!

Do you have someone who you trust to cut your hair? A good person will know the details that make the difference between a men's cut and a women's short cut. (These details are mostly about the bits around the ears and not squaring off the top, as far as I know, but I don't cut hair.)

I can't tell from picture 1 - are you an earring person? One of the reasons I love short hair on me is that it gives me an excuse to wear dramatic earrings every single day. And it will take away all your fears of looking boyish!

Thank you Nicole! Also, LOL at "pinhead potential". I think I'd prefer to keep the length in the bangs, I'm not too bothered by them grazing my glasses.

TylerAnne, I think you should go for it! You have delicate features and that is why I think a cut like this works. I don't think it will come off as manly at all. I also think it will look cool with your glasses.

Are you looking at just the cut or some color also? Just asking bc of the photo shown.

At any rate, I think it will look great and you will feel fab. Keep us posted!

I appreciate your responses! ABC, I don't think I will change the color. You can't tell from the photo of me (weird lighting that makes it look dyed when it isn't), but it's a natural honey blond color that I like and don't really want to change. Although it will probably look darker if it is shorter.
