Calling all micro fishnet wearers!

I opened a brand new package of micro fishnets from Nordies, and poked a hole right through, arggg. At $20 a pop, I was not happy.

Yesterday stopped by the local Kohl's and found these Vera Wang micro fishnets for more than half the price and they seem to be almost identical!

Yes, that happened to me too...with a brown fishnet from Nordstroms. Luckily it's on the upper thigh area, and isn't visible under clothes. Have you tried layering regular hose underneath? I find it helps with that problem, and keeps me warmer!

I'm still struggling to find a micro fishnet that is a true nude for me. All the options I've seen seem to work best on lighter skintones. I've tried layering hose underneath, but am still not satisfied with the look.

I do that fairly often. I put a hole in a pair of patterned grey/black tights last week and they are my favorites.

I usually buy the Calvin Klein micro fishnets at Winners (TJ Maxx) and seem to get a number of wears out of them before ruining them.

Carole, a brand new pair should not do that, so I would recommend taking them right back to Nordstrom and I'm sure they'll give you a new pair.

But thanks for the link to the ones at Kohl's.

I like Hue brand, but interestingly enough, I have a black pair that has been worn and washed(*) numerous times for about 4 years, but a nude pair I bought got a hole the very first time out. Possibly the shade is a factor? Maybe nudes are more fragile.

*The black pair is so friggin' indestructible, I toss it into the wash AND the dryer... without a bag! I kid you not.

Thanks to MaryK, I'm a big fan of Oroblu microfishnets. They are expensive at Nordie's, but MK and I find ours on Ebay. They are incredibly tough. I'm still wearing a pair I wore all last winter!

Like Dianthus, I've found nude micro fishnets at TJMaxx or Marshalls that have held up well. I still have some from last year. They get hand washed immediately after I take them off. Mine are a finer net than those Vera Wangs at Kohls.
