Oooh - those are AWESOME!!! Love them to bits. They'd be totally impractical where I live (bare heels with closed toes) but wow, what fun.
I have high hopes for them as well because of the elastic goring.
I don't like the way it looks when I tuck my pants into booties -- with the shape of my leg, it ends up feeling too much like leggings. So I wear my pants (even skinnies) over top of booties or else I roll them (in warmer weather or with BF jeans). If a bootie is simply too wide at the top for me to wear the pants over (and I need to roll) for me, that becomes a spring/ fall bootie only for with rolled BFs or boot cuts.
The one pair of booties where I find this problematic are the Pettys. My pants will sort of slide over them -- but there is a gap -- and this means the pants don't want to stay put. When I sit down they get caught at the top where the gap is. I find this annoying, and I admit, it causes me to wear the Pettys less often than I might otherwise wear them. You can't see the problem in the photos, but it's there, and it's due to "flower pot effect."
#1: Pettys. Borderline flowerpot effect. Don't like them with skirts/ dresses on me despite low contrast to my pale skin, and find them a bit troubling with pants.
#3 - 4 Zara ink bootie with neoprene cuff. The cuff is actually a little loose on me, but it looks like a little sock. I sometimes wear it with a skirt and tights (2, 3 and also wear with pants over top. (4)
#5: Stuart Weitzman chelsea boot. Elastic goring makes it fit snug to my ankle. I wear it with skinnies over top and sometimes with skirts/ dresses, although it's not the most flattering look due to the horizontal line at the top. (A V vamp tends to be more flattering).
#6: DV booties from last year -- they have a bit of ankle gap but not a lot and they stop higher up so it's not a problem with pants staying put over top of them.
#7 Munros with the V vamp and zipper. They do sometimes "catch" my pants even though there is no gap for me with them. It is the combination of the suede and the shape, I think. But I still wear skinnies over top.
My ankle is not as low volume as yours, however and my calf is not low volume (alas).
