Because I think I solved a big mystery today. I have been absolutely bumfuddled since discovering a Celine Edge bag, brand new with tags, at the local Goodwill here in the middle of farm country Texas.

On my break at work today, I was standing in line to buy a few things when a woman ran up to the register with some tea. She realized that her husband had already completed his transaction and it was someone else's turn to check out. I was in uniform, so I told her to go ahead of me. As I watched her checking out, I noticed she was carrying a Louis Vuitton bag, and I don't mean swap-meet-Louis, either. At that moment, I looked at her husband again, and he was wearing a polo shirt embroidered with the name of a country club golf course from down the road about an hour away. This couple either retired up here or has a weekend house on the local lake just outside of town, so now I'm pretty sure I have solved the mystery of how a Celine Edge bag came to be at our local goodwill. It also explains how a Jill Sander cashmere tank came to be there, and several other head-scratching scores from the goodwill shop (like all the AG and 7 for all Mankind jeans I have seen on the racks).

Now that I know this, I know to go to our local Goodwill often and regularly, because you never know when she might drop off another box of amazing scores for me.
