Buyer's Remorse? (or Help me Calm My Fears)

Thanks to my daily deal alerts from 6pm.com, I found some super bargains on both Fossil and Lucky Brand purses this morning. I filled up my cart, narrowed down my choices, and before I had to leave for the day I purchased this one:

in Green Envy. I chose it because- Hello! Green is my favorite color (and also brass hardware- my favorite metal!). But as soon as I got home, I had a panic attack. I'm looking at my closet and wondering if I will really use a green handbag, and if not having an outside pocket for my keys will drive me crazy (and also the little flap that has to be undone to get inside the bag). There's no way to know for sure until it comes, but do you think that I have made a mistake?

I can't speak to the pocket issue, but I have a bag that color and I love it and use it all the time!

No, I don't think you've made a mistake! It might not be your favorite bag from a functional standpoint, but a bag is a perfect way to add a pop of your favorite color to an outfit. You wear a lot of neutrals, and other colors that go with green, so I'm confident you'll love carrying this bag.

I think you will like the green. I can't speak about pockets but I find bags with flaps that are small such as this, often never get flapped closed, too much flapping and unflapping when shopping. The flap is small so that shouldn't be an issue to leave it unflapped right?

Oooo that's a beauty. Re the flap I would probably leave it undone while out shopping and re the outside pocket it looks to have an inside zipped pocket I always use that for my keys, safer from pick pockets too x

I think it's a great color, just as versatile as a red bag. Almost a neutral in itself. I think the strap is set to let you get in and out of your bag easily enough without undoing (slipping a wallet or keys in or out from the sides).

I think it's perfect you Khris. Just think of the denim, browns and antique pinks you love to wear. It's a fab choice and I hope it is practical. Does it have a zip pocket on the inside for your keys and coin purse?

Khris, it's lovely. The flap is small enough that I doubt it'll get in your way and I'll bet the green ends up being much more versatile than you'd think. Great buy~

Fossil has great bags, the leather is just amazing.. I'm concerned with the outside pocket, because I need one and I know (because I've made the same mistake) that a bag with no outside pocket drives me crazy (I need an inside pocket also to the cell phone).
For me bags have to be practical besides gorgeous.

Thanks ladies! I am feeling a little better about it today. I realized that this will go great with navy- which I wear a lot of. It probably won't be my most used bag, anyway- but green bags are hard to come by and so it's worth giving it a shot. It does have a zipper pocket inside, as well as an open one. I am finding that my most favorite pocket configuration is a zip pocket outside (keys), a zip pocket inside (lip balm, lipstick and mints), and two open pockets inside (cell phone and eye glass cleaning cloth). The rest of what I carry is closed up in a l cosmetics bag and my checkbook wallet. It's worth getting another small zip pouch to use with this bag if I like it- for the lippies, mints and eyeglass cloths. It should be here this week sometime, and I will post pics when it comes.
