Buy or pass?

After seeing this at http://www.frugal-fashionistas.com I put it in my cart and was in the process of hitting the buy button when I backed out. I realized I have my white crop denim jacket. But now I'm thinking I should get this one, too.
I was interesed in a white cropped tux jacket by Guess last year, but it had black lapels that made it a little trickier to style. This one, being all white, avoids that problem. Also, it is a dressier vibe than the denim crop I have now.
So, is this an unnecessary duplication, or do you think it could have place as a dressier (for me) topper for my dresses?
Should I BBQ or pass?

Okay. On the one hand, that jacket is beautiful and streamlined, and works with your new aesthetic.

But I hesitate because to me the vibe of your cropped blush moto is so similar, and because you recently said that you feel you are moving on from a lot of your purchases you made within the last year.

I'm wondering if that's an indicator to slow down a little; to add pieces sparingly when they fill holes, not when they are similar to pieces you already have.

But if you feel very strongly about this jacket, I do see it working well for you.

Kari, I wonder if the feeling that I've really honed in on what I like is making me want to snap it all up NOW when I find it. Of course, like the blush moto, I've had my eye on something like this for about a year and a half now, so it is not an impulse buy. I liked the Renee Guess jacket and also the Twisted Heart Priscilla white linen, but bought neither. This is like a hybrid of them both. I have no idea of Delia's quality, never having heard of them.
I think adding to my issue is the moving from CA to FL and back again twice in a year's time! This one is a linen blend that would seem great for FL weather, and at least usable in summer in Tahoe lol.

I don't have a solid opinion, myself - Do you have enough dressier events that you feel your current selection of dressy jackets isn't enough?

FWIW, Delias is a juniors brand and the quality reflects that. It isn't super great, but from what I've seen it's not terrible. Course I only saw a store once when visiting Dad in Missouri, and the rest I've seen has been at the swap meet.

Rae, I don't have a lighter dressy jacket. I have lots of fall/winter color and weight jackets.
If it's juniors, maybe I should size up.

3 for sure! This can be your Florida dressy jacket. The draping seems more refined than the ruffles of 2 (more ALGO) and the black lapels of 1 do complicate things for me.

I don't know if the quality of Delia's has changed - when I was a teen, it was a juniors brand and the quality was about on par with a store like Wet Seal or H&M; better than Forever 21, but not super high quality either. Just to keep that into your consideration!

I definitely like this jacket better than 1 or 2 in the photos above - Rae's right that it is a lot more refined, and seems to capture the best elements of each of the two other jackets.

I love the easy style and fabric - I assume it can be machine washed - is good for warmer weather. I think this fits more of a summer space than heavier jackets and I like it. For me, denim jackets are way too hot for summer. For the price, I'd say it seems like a good piece to try and seems to fit into your style.

Mo, don't feel bad about shopping. You're coming off of a long period of little to no shopping and you're being very mindful and rational about your purchases. You're just adding some fresh pieces to keep your wardrobe current and in-line with your present style direction. Nothing wrong with it at all.

Thanks Jaguar . . . it's hard to lose the guilt feelings, and I wasn't even aware they were bubbling up! The BF and I both agreed my last paycheck from work was going to be my 'fun money'. I'm still not coming to grips that it's OKAY to spend it. lol
And Julie, I felt it was a perfect mix of the two long stalked jackets, also. Fingers crossed!
