I think it's too short for the business trip/cocktail party you described. It would be fun for a New Year's Eve party though if you need that kind of dress. The colour is beautiful on you!

So flirty and fun looking! Will you feel comfortable with it this length? I think that cocktail dresses can get away with being just a little bit shorter than your "normal" dresses- but 3 inches above the knee sounds pretty short to me! Also, $500. - a lot of money (for me!) - unless I'm regularly attending cocktail parties (which I am not!) How many times/how often are you going to wear this dress? Can youu wear it in other settings by dressing it down? One last question - are the armholes a little big? (i'm just looking at the side view and it makes me wonder!?)

Most Norwegians will find this length perfectly fine, particularly with the addition of a hose. The style and color is very pretty on you, but it is as you say on the expensive side. Do you love it?

no you are all right, I don't love it enough for a one night stand. I want what I buy to also work in 2 years. This is not the right time of year to be looking. But my daughter adored this and begged me to buy it. thought that was sweet

It's really pretty, but the fit at the bust seems slightly off at the arm holes, and also from the front where the two panels of fabric meet. For the money I would want this to be perfect. The color and shape suit you really well. Maybe check some DVF dresses?

The color is fab! I'm a midwestern girl, but the length doesn't bother me at all for a cocktail dress, particularly if the neckline is modest like this one. I agree, however, that this one doesn't seem to be "it." Don't despair -- the dress is there!
