Ok, so yesterday I posted about my problems with blouses. I was encouraged to try some experiments with the one button down shirt I do have. I think it turned out well and by the end I saw a lot more potential in it! My only issue with this particular shirt is that it's pure white and I think it's a little stark with my skin tone. So I tried to temper with it with accessories.

Overall, I think I found a few nice looks. I've come to realize the rust sweater is a little boxy and doesn't do much for me unless I wear it with a belt. The shirt also bunched up a little too much underneath it.

Sadly, I'd be a little shy to wear these outfits to work, even though they're pretty basic and more appropriate than what I'm wearing now. They're closer to what my boss wears and don't they say dress for the position you want? She's retiring soon and I know she'd like to see me have a shot. But I also know she probably thinks I could use a bit more polish. So I'm going to go for it and dress up more.

The white tank is a little dingy, I have a nicer one. The shirt isn't ironed and I don't have hose on. What would you suggest with these outfits, sheer grey hose?

Comments and suggestions welcome!
