H, no worries, it's hardly obvious from the photo what these are. They are Karl Lagerfeld fingerless leather gloves in "smoke blue." I like leather gloves for traction because I often walk with crutches (cotton is slippery and therefore kind of dangerous) but leather is so hot in our sticky summers. Hence: fingerless leather in a lovely pale shade. Sun protection plus a tiny bit of extra padding for people who "walk with their hands."
KL himself, I think, favored gloves because he disliked the look of his increasingly age-spotted hands. As do I, must admit. Even though we now know that KL was a bit of a jackass when it came to how women "should" look, to my mind that doesn't mean he didn't have style...
