Hello friends,
Today I was playing in my closet trying Burgundy, Black and Cream. Here is what I came up with. In all honesty I have not worn this combo yet, but probably will next week to work.
All the items are old, the newest is probably the blazer, which is perhaps 4 years old. I am wearing:
- burgundy wool pants Max Mara, 5 years old
- black blazer Escada, 4 years old
- cream silk shirt, Acquascutum, 9 years old
- black shoes Tod’s, 9 years old
- scarf Kenzo, bought more than 10 years ago
I haven’t been wearing the pants almost at all, I think it is a difficult style for me, I prefer wider legs. But since the color is trending, I will put them in rotation this fall with longer blazers.

The combination is, however, new to me with the white shirt and solid burgundy scarf together with the loafers.

Angie suggested I throw in some orange, so I have done it in the form of orange bag worn cross body. The bag is from Lancaster, also a few years old. I like the orange accent here.

When I was trying on these pants, I made another combination inspired by Angie from a few years ago - wine on ice. Swapped the blazer for a denim coat and added a patterned silk scarf. Both old thrifting finds.

What do you guys think? And do you have any styling suggestions?
