Blackened burgundy tweed! But the fit just does me no favors.
I like the infamous unlined BF fit better. Just satin'.
Very interesting. Something about the shaping. The burgundy is boxier and bulkier. Also skews warm colored.
Interesting to see what does what.

Also the silk top is pretty, but more for my imaginary lifestyle.

Now, I would wear that blouse with jeans and go shopping. I do not see it as a dressy blouse at all.

I agree with Deb, the blouse would look great with jeans. I was in a BR store on Friday--haven't shopped there in years and wanted to see what the hype was about. The clothes are nicely designed, but all the good design was lost in how absolutely poorly presented the items were. Maybe online has made customers more accepting of wrinkles, but *nothing* in the store was pressed, and the items were all crammed onto the racks, making everything look so cheap. But a quick steam of the jacket I bought reveals a diamond in the rough. I wonder if other people think the presentation reflects on the merchandise and if that translates to fewer sales.

The blouse is beautiful! However for myself I am struggling with this kind of sleeve. Layering over - even an outerwear - is difficult and not layered over it has a very short wearing period in my climate

I really like the silk top but also don't see it as dressy. It says dry clean but I would hand wash it and hang to dry. It makes silk less fussy. I find that most of the time it dries quickly with no need to iron.

Sveta, that I'd my deal too, along with not spending much time in jeans outfits. I'm not in a cold climate but this would be s warm- weather top, but delicate to care for, would need topper a lot. Kind of an indoor supper party sort of top.

I agree on the blouse - love it and would wear it both to work and casually - but would have trouble putting a topper over the sleeves. Shame about the fit of the blazer because how often do you see burgundy tweed? I tried to talk myself into the boyfriend blazer sized up to fit my arms, but no go - way too loose around the body. BUT - these pants are burgundy tweed (also navy tweed) and I got both, plan to wear them like leggings - they are actually full length on me.

Sorry they didn't work out.

I saw that top and was like, ooooooh, but then I read the wisdom of the ladies below re not being able to wear a topper over it. And I struggle with shoulders like that! I just posted about finding tops, I just can't seem to get tops right...

I bought that top and am anxious to wear it. I will wear it for warm weather as well as the transition season which will last through mid to late October. I like having pieces in 'fall' colors that are cool enough to wear in warmer weather.

Susie, I agree that top can be very good for warm fall weather when it just seems right to shift color palette. I have made some effort at "seasonal temperature adjustment" by getting some linen or cotton sweaters in darker or richer fall colors, and wool sweaters in happy spring colors.

I was also considering that blouse but haven't because of the sleeve. I always have to have a jacket because I'm always freezing. Now that capes and ponchos are trending, that might be my solution.
