Bunch of stuff I tried on/bought recently - and need tips on skirts :D

Soo last week I went shopping with a friend after a work. Got a bunch of everyday tshirts but here's some of the other stuff.

I AM finding it hard to find flats that are both comfortable (especially since I love walking around) and not outrageously priced AND loon good. (It doesn't help that I have wide feet). Slip ons are pretty but I don't get a grip; the only other options i continuously go back to are sneakers and ballet flats :/ (they go with everything, lol).

Alsooo how do you guys figure out tops that go with your skirts? I LOVE skirts but I tend to wear just one top/skirt combination repeatedly. (I know I'm going to pair this new one with a black top :D) It's a safe option but gets boring pretty quickly :/ Any suggestions?

Cute new things! That dress is really pretty for spring/Easter.

Re tops for skirts, Angie has addressed this exact issue because a lot of people end up with skirts that become closet orphans. She recommends only buying a skirt if you know what you’ll wear with it.

Your new skirt will look great with the black top; I bet you could wear a top in almost any solid color—reds, pinks, blues, greens, for starters—with the neutral colors in the skirt.

That’s an interesting question about skirts and tops. I guess I like certain types of tops and skirts, and stay within a certain range of styles. I think I like more fitted tops with skirts - not too blouse-y.

I like Windchime’s suggestion of colorful tops and agree that most anything goes.

I’m a big fan of pattern mixing so I’d also try it with a floral print top.

I think that sort of subtle, neutral pattern that the skirt has can be super versatile!

For shoes I like flat sandals too or oxfords. Slip on sneakers can also work for a change. Added my collection below (I have had to remove a couple recently due to them wearing out!!) A few of these have very moderate heels.

I tend to wear mostly slim skirts...pencil or tube skirts. They are pretty easy to wear with any top, especially if the waistline is high for short tops. I think that a full skirt usually calls for a tucked in top, which can be harder to wear for me.
Your new skirt could easily be worn with your favorite shade of white or grey, but could be worn with about any color or pattern mix with a many colored floral with white or grey background. I would wear it with pink or blush with a silver metallic jacket.

Agreeing with Joy. I like tapered pencil skirts for work cause they're easiest with untucked tops. Skirts with more volume I wear with short fitted sleeveless tops like this one-ideally with a curved hem.
