I have tears in my eyes and I am breathing a big sigh of relief. So happy to hear from you and to hear that all went well! I am so glad you are done with the cancer cocktail.

Isabel, thank you also for taking the time from your recovery to wish me a happy birthday. You are so thoughtful and generous, especially with all you have going on. I wishing you, my friend and fellow Aries, the happiest of birthdays also and a wonderful year to come. Hugs!
Wow, no incision. Yay! Modern medicine can be amazing. By the time the weather finally shapes up, you'll be ready for some therapeutic biking. It sounds like spring is arriving late on the East coast, since there's a lawsuit against P. Phil, the disgraced groundhog.
So glad to hear everything went smoothly! Thank you for updating us Isabel. Hope your hubby and kids are spoiling you rotten as you recover :}
Oh, Isabel, I'm so sorry you've had to go through all this, but I'm thrilled to hear that the surgery went well and that you're home already.

Please take it easy and let your family pamper you a little! Sending you lots of positive thoughts for rapid healing!

Hugs,
Marcy
Isabel, what great news! I am so glad it is over for you and you did not have to have the incision. Thank you for updating us.
Isabel I have been out of town and just saw this. So glad you are home!
So glad to hear that the surgery went well. Take care and let others be good to you
Yay for modern technology and your skilled medical team! Thanks for the update. Tell your family that they better be taking good care of you or they'll be hearing from the YLF Godmothers. : P
Thank you everyone !! I am overwhelmed by everyone's thoughts and good wishes.

AJ , LOL, yes , that must have been a whole lot of pressure on my surgeon !

CCasual, I laughed so hard at your comment , that my belly hurt ! Suing the poor, little, Phil. Nevah, I we say here in Easter Ma. Hahaaaa.

Everyone has been so good to me. My husband cleaned every inch of the house and did tons of laundry so that I could relax and not feel that there was anything to do. A friend and her sister ( who is visiting from TX ) that I have known since I was 5 , came to visit. And they brought my sister ( who is mentally disabled and can't drive ) to see me. I had to pinch myself looking at the four of us who have known each other for 44 years ! It was such a treat.

My family in Portugal is utterly baffled that the US is taking out lady parts with no incisions. It really is the new frontier !!!

Thank you all so much again. I really have no way to express what an awesome support system you all are. And I am never lonely with all of you around.

XXXXXXXXXX
Dearest Isabel,

I am so happy to hear everything went well! And you more than deserve to have everyone be super nice to you. Hope you can rest up. Sending tons of hugs!
Oh, my heart goes out to you. I am so sorry about the bone loss complication, but what great news that your surgery was a success and with no incision! You are a really positive person to have such a great sense of humour and to be so interested in seeing people so soon after your procedure! I will be thinking of you in your recovery and hoping that rebuilding some of the bone loss is possible.
Isabel, I am very late to this thread (I'm traveling and have only occasional Internet access) but wanted to give you another virtual hug of support. I'm so glad the surgery went well!

I am about to schedule my hysterectomy, and the hope is that it will be straightforward enough to keep it just to laparoscopy (I have a number of significant uterine fibroids). I'm a big wimp because I've never had surgery before. So, hyster-sister, I'm especially happy to hear your procedure went well.

As for the bone loss, I understand that must be hard to hear. A dear friend of mine has been through four rounds of treatment over the last twelve years for multiple myeloma (and yes, she is a total outlier and has amazed her doctors for years, she also has a wonderful attitude). She has lost five inches in height and I don't even know how much bone density, and all at the age of 45. But she keeps on rocking! She and her husband and four kids are planning a big national park tour this summer.

I see her positive attitude and warm spirit in you as well. I am wishing you all the best!
Just checking in with a hug and some hot cocoa! Keep on taking care of your sweet self! XXX OOO

MMM...that looks delish, MaryK.

Janet, good luck ! It is amazing what doctors can do in this country. Do you remember the great floods in Africa years ago ( maybe 10 yrs or so ) ? Well a pregnant woman and her MIL climbed a tree to get away. And they were up there for days before being rescued. In the meantime, the woman gave birth to her baby on this tree. Every time I get freaked out about a procedure, I think of her. : )
Wow, that's hard core!!

You are a strong woman, Isabel!

MaryK, I don't know what is worse...giving birth in a tree or being stuck there for days with my MIL !!!!! LOL !!!! ( btw, I love her, I just couldn't resist the joke. )
Heh! Good thing you never have to find out!
