Hello Angie, here is my question. I was so excited about the brulee sandal by Clarks. It came yesterday and while I do agree it is a beautiful sandal it is too narrow for the top of my foot. Because my ankles roll inward, the outer edges of my foot are very very wide. The sandal was too narrow but I will say this - it was the closest I've come to finding a comfortable sandal yet.

I did see your link about 9 more foot options for summer and read the comments and have read about stretching shoes. My feet seem to be beyond being helped by stretching, the widest part is indeed sort of the very middle of the foot, therefore most sandals create a painful binding effect with the top area near the toe.

So my question is two-fold. First, do you have any sandal recommendations for those with wide, flat feet.

Secondly, my other issue with the Brulee and shoes like it is nothing makes my legs look stumpier than a flat sandal with an ankle strap. The brulee completely cut off my calf and as I have muscular calves, it was not a pretty look. I fear I really am going to be reduced to flip-flops (horrors!) as they are comfortable for my wide feet and do not cut off my calf.

I would love any advice you have! Btw, I also have been trying in vein to find the Kenneth Cole Cedar City wedge sandal in pewter and it is sold out. I know that shoe would work for me, strangely when not wearing a flat shoe width is not so much of an issue.

Thank you again,

-Grace
