I received an email from Nordstrom with a link to their new arrivals. As I was browsing through, I was pleased to see more new items in lovely shades of brown. Angie noted a comeback of brown recently:

I've been a big fan of brown since I was a teenager, and if you want to get concerned looks, just tell someone your favorite color is brown!

So, just for fun, I started a YLF collection of brown items that caught my eye. These aren't necessarily pieces I want (though I'm seriously considering the Vince Camuto top, in a couple months after I've recovered from NAS.)

I am so excited about brown this Fall! Brown is one of my best colors.

Part of me wishes I would have bought the chocolate brown Kut from the Kloth jacket with faux leather but I'm losing weight. I won't be able to wear that jacket until November or later in my part of the world. I won't buy a smaller size until I am actually that size.

I love brown too. Especially chocolate brown. And that warm medium brown you see a lot of shoes and purses in (cognac?).

The only shade of brown I can tolerate is cognac, but I am glad that there is more choice now for those who love the color.

I love browns on me too. I'm kind of wishing I had ordered that Halogen leather jacket in brown instead of the shimmery black. Do I trust myself to return the black if I order the brown before the price increase kicks in?

I had been wearing brown during the last few years, but I did not pull my brown pants out last year when I realized that no one else was wearing that color. I have been thinking about how I could work the new colors and bring brown back in again. I am usually very "matchy, matchy", but I am excited to try the new plan.

I considered adding brown pants but when I looked at my wardrobe as a whole, they just didn't fit...I haven't worn any brown for years, there wasn't much to pair them with. Since I am trying to limit the overall size of my wardrobe, I decided against bringing in a different color. I did however get a bag in cognac and a pair of dark brown boots. I will add a pair of boots in a camel or cognac shade but that will be it for me.

It is nice though to see brown back as an option for those who wear it.
