I got my Spago dress shirts today, and I absolutely love them! Size 2 fits nice and tailored with no bust gape. Also kept the size for for a slightly more relaxed look. Perfect length to wear tucked or untucked.

As I sit here and pet my pretties, cooing at the cut and quality, I wish I could somehow justify this this tan trench, too. I ogled it in person earlier this year when it was full price. Now it's half off... but I really shouldn't. Even if it does have a removable wool liner. Really.

I guess this company just knows how to keep me coming back for more...

I hear you, Sara. Back then I convinced myself I could not wear that color. But now I have a blazer in that color that I really love. Ack... how many trench coats does a person need?

Could you replace one of your current trench coats with this one? Like a one in-one out sort of a thing? Sometimes I can justify purchases that way.

I don't know how many trenches anyone needs (I have more than one ;-)), but I do know that I have all these trendy items in my Nordstrom shopping cart (online), and as I scroll down past the first 30 items, I suddenly encounter the Longchamps tote, and the Burberry trench I picked so long ago, and I see the calm and sensibility of selecting classics like those! Of course, I'm waaay more classic than you are, but there's a reason trenches are iconic!

Hm, right now I have these three. Suede, a very light packable, and the black Burberry from Ebay. Is that too many? I don't think I can part with any of those... but maybe some other things. I have too many jeans, and maybe some boots that have too high heels?

I really miss the cinnamon trench I used to have. :T

Okay I don't know southern CA weather, but it does seem that you could use a lighter color fabric (i.e. not suede) trench. Black doesn't cover all situations IMHO. And suede doesn't cover all weather!

ETA: what's the trench in pic #2?

I think the issue is whether you're reached wardrobe saturation per Angie's post. There are some items where too much is not enough, and others where you can never get enough of what you don't really need. Two direct U2 quotes! Which is this situation?

Wait, I could have sworn you had more than three trenches...did you sell or return the rest? Wasn't there a citron one or something? You look so good in trenches...they're part of your signature style. So no wonder you want to add more!

Yes, Natalie, I think I sold six a while back that did not function well for various reasons. Poly linings, no travel weight version, not able to fit a sweater under, no pockets, not water resistant...

I acyually did try to order this one, but the site is not accepting my free shipping service. Will call in the am... I guess it is good to sleep on it a bit

I think a trench has become part of your signature style. And it works for your climate. And living where you do, you need a light or colorful one (or both) in addition to dark ones.

So there.

Was able to order after a small hassle. The coat sold out in my size online! After many days with only the size 2 running out. Bah. I was going to tell the tale here, but I'm going to do a separate post about the service experience, and I will link to it here.

I just saw this after your latest post. So you have seen it in person. Does it look as good as your Burberry?

Ooh, Elle, that is a tough question. I would say yes, the Brooks Bros. is comparable quality to the my Burberry London Harbourne. I see from your other comment that you are still thinking about your own Burberry, though, so I don't want to give a blanket, "BB = Burberry." I think you have to compare the exact coats.

I honestly do think that BB materials make it a better deal than most of the Brit line, hands down. However, some of the Burberry London trenches are definitely superior. The London cotton gabardine feels more luxurious and expensive, and was it you that let me know it's actually waterproof? Some of that line, every seam is stitched at least 2X, if not 3X or 5X, and the tailoring is phenomenal.

I don't think I have seen your style in person, so I'm not sure how the BB would compare specifically. Hopefully I have helped some and not just confused you more. o_0
